Sighing, unknowingly calling out to our Father

Have you ever had one of those moments at church, or wherever it might be, when you things just click and for a split second things seem so clear and you feel like God just to you right then and there? Well, I had one of those moments during our church. The sermon was one like had never heard before and I've told several people today at work to watch the podcast! Our preacher was showing us the Hebrew pictographs that make up the words: mother, father, wife and husband. Spearing you much of the details (though the details are awesome too!), the Hebrews use the pictographs for the words wife and husband to make the word "Yahweh". I didn't realize until yesturday that the actual pronounciation of name of the Lord was lost in the destruction of the temple but when you put the Hebrew letters together to pronounce Yahweh, the sound comes out as a sigh. So, when we are at the point in our lives, (whether its with our marriage, our health, our job or children)  when we are about to just breakdown, we sigh. We are calling on the name of the Lord in our darkest times even when we dont realize it!

Seriously, I was goose bumped to the core. The most amazing part about this revalation for me was that one day last week I mentally took note of how much I had been sighing. I was mentally and physically drained and sighs were just coming out one right after another. I could.not.stop.

My Father made me to need Him, to call out HIS name through my sighs in my times of exhaustion.

I Did It!

So for about a year now, I have been following some great blogs and getting the itch to start my own. I mean, I've had one and have kind of been working on it,  but I mean a REAL blog :). With the reality that my grant will be up next year (my job is grant funded) I have really been praying for an opportunity to present itself. I love home decor. I love garage sales. So I thought I would try out the craft show thing. I heard about a craft show coming up in our area in March so I did it, I signed up! AHHHHHHHHH! Now I need to really start making stuff to sell! Ha ha! Thank God my hubby is helping where he can. No, he's not sewing or gluing anything (Yet, he he) , but he's keeping the kiddos occupied and that in and of itsself is a lifesaver! Wish me luck and stay tuned........

IM from I AM!

So I've been struggling deeply with several things for a while. One of those things is trusting God with my hormonal imbalance and the severe, life altering symptoms that are attached to that. I am certain that He is in control but I get anxious and it is my nature to FIX what is broken. Well, I'm the broken one around here. I sometimes need reminders (ok,daily) that it his battle to fight and he's already won. I need to praise Him for the healing that he has planned for me despite my despair. This is a pic I took on the way home from work a few days ago. Heard it loud n clear!

Miss Ella's Birthday Thank Yous

I found these precut cards on clearance at Walmart a few months ago and new that I would be able to use them someday. Well, I've been trying to figure out what to do for thank you cards for Ella's second birthday and these babies popped into my brain. So I adhered a pic of lil miss to the inside, after sewing and stamping fabric to the front and voila......... (I think they turned out pretty cute) . Who knew you could sew on paper?!!!!!

Bye bye christmas tree

So we went simple again this year with our Christmas decorations. It didnt take long to pack everything up and before we knew it all the twinkling white lights were gone :(  Here is one final homage to the peaceful, cozy Christmas tree that was.

Merry and Bright

I spent so much time looking for the perfect (Cheap and cute) Christmas card and it didn't exist! So, I made my own and sent it to good ole' walmart to print. Check it out and tell me what you think!

Ella's coat was a bit dirty from the "wrestling match" prior to this picture being taken so I turned it to sepia. I can't believe that they both smiled at the exact same time and  my camera cooperated and took the picture when I pushed the buton! lol!
