Trying Thankfullness on for Size

This past weekend is a blur. I took Friday off to have an impromptu garage sale and I didn't really feel like sitting in the office on such a beautiful fall day. We ended up carrying the gargage sale over to Saturday morning and then we headed up to the four way stop to watch the Augusta Days Parade. Griff made out like a bandit, with a huge bag full of candy. I then struggled throught massive piles of laundry on the floor (see finished product below). Greg's bank particpated in a sand volleyball tournament that afternoon. Yes, they had a team name. You'll never guess.......... Nads (numbers and dollar signs). So, when they cheered, it was, "Go Nads!". :) Who said bankers are too serious? Sunday was church and lunch at the inlaws, followed by naps and a church small group cookout. I am offically exhausted from the weekend! Even though I'm exhausted physically, emotionally and mentally, I am still so grateful to God that we have these opportuntities to be with friends and family, to worship openly, for the food and water that we have everyday and yes, even for the laundry that I have to do every weekend! I am so thankful that I have two little monsters and a desaterously messy husband that require the upkeap.

Got it? Got it!

So our little darling, Ella, who is 20 months old, has decided that she needs a little extra attention at night. Last night she started crying about an hour after going to bed. Greg went in to check on her and I heard him say, "Ella, stop crying, you're fine" and to that she replied, "ok, daddy" in the most pitful voice I've ever heard. Greg then says, "Go back to sleep, you got it?" and hear her whisper......."Got it". He came out of there so fast to keep from laughing. Thank you God for those moments of preciousness!

Lil Mr. GQ

My four and half year old, Griffin, took part in the Lil Mr. Southeastern contest this past weekend. He didn't "win" but he sure looked cute! I'm so proud of his little interviewing skills. He was asked what his favorite food was and he said "brocolli"! We didn't even rehearse that! This weekend made me realize just competetive I really am but Griffin was just as happy to ride in the float.

So much to say....

Hello there! This is my outlet. Like so many women, I wear so many hats (not literally, my hair is way too big!) and I need a place to create and to share. My name is Alaina Tippey and for the last year and a half I have been living on Rainbows. I will talk about this in much greater detail in the posts to come. Thanks for stopping by!
